Guatemala Program Highlights

Little Treasures works directly in Guatemala to bring adopted Guatemalan children into your home as quickly as possible. Once all the necessary paperwork is received in Guatemala, it takes about four to six months to complete the necessary legal process and bring the child home.

Who can adopt? Couples or singles.

Is travel necessary? No, children can be escorted.

What are the children like? Children are generally aged birth-1 year at time of referral and live in foster homes during the process. Older children are occasionally available.

How much does it cost? Many different expenditures make up an adoption. As of June 2006, the cost of adopting a child in Guatemala through our program can be broken down as follows:

Note: Escort is available (cost is based on airfare for one escort and child, 3 nights hotel, $30/day for meals, $750 escort fee and $50 miscellaneous fees)
